Linking Citations to Change Requests

The Citations tab at the bottom of the Change Request Details page allows you to perform legal research and propose citation links for a pending schedule title.

To link citations to a change request:

1.       From the Change Requests page, select the change request containing the schedule title you want to update.

The Change Request Details page opens.

2.      Select the pending schedule title from the Schedule Titles grid.
3.      Click the Citations tab.

For an existing schedule title, the “Original” column at the left shows the citations that were linked to the original citation. The “Proposed” column at the right shows the proposed citation links for the schedule title.

4.      Click the Legal Research button under the Citations tab.

The Research Criteria page opens.

5.      Enter your search criteria, as described in the Research topics. Be sure to indicate the number of results per page that you want to display, since you can only link the citations in one window of search results at a time.
6.      Click Search.

The citations found are displayed in the Search Results page.

7.      Select the check box next to each citation you want to link to the selected schedule title, and click the Link Citation(s) button.

Note: Setting or clearing the retention driver flag must be done through the desktop client.

The citations are listed on the “Proposed” section on the Citations tab.
