Change Requests

The Change Requests option may be used as a central point for managing changes and additions to your organization’s records retention schedule. Only System Administrators or users in a security group that has access rights to Change Requests will see the option in the Versatile Corporate-Wide Access menu bar.

Users with access rights may view and create change requests from this option, as an alternative to adding from the Schedules option. They may also propose, edit, authorize, approve, and reject change requests via the Web.

A special role called “authorizer” may be set up in Versatile Retention, by job title, or by country, business function, or schedule. Authorizers are users who need to review and mark change requests with their interim authorization (this is different from final approval).
